Most "digital cards" are a static image with a font swap. We wanted something that actually does something — a cake with candles you blow out yourself, a No button that won't sit still, a letter that arrives one line at a time instead of all at once.

And we wanted it to be as easy to hand over as a real card: a link if you're texting it, or a QR code you can print, stick on a gift, or tuck inside an actual paper card — so the digital thing and the physical gesture aren't in competition.
